‘The Wonderful Every Day’

This phrase ‘The Wonderful Every Day’ stirs memories of child hood joy where holidays lasted an eternity and there was deep satisfaction found in the company of friends and family. Long bike rides in the summer sun, sleep overs & den making on the Ashdown forest seemed to fill every day with the sorts of ingredients which added up to a wonderful every day.
Through this Sunday series we’ll be following those awe inspiring, wonderful moments that are recorded in the book of John as he follows the everyday life of Jesus. Whilst life requires less den making in my time, I am inspired by the life of Jesus to see there is more wonder to be enjoyed every day.
Jesus’s intention was not to show case how wonderful earth could be if you happened to be fully divine and fully human. It was to reveal to us all the kingdom of heaven in which we can live each day in. A kingdom that transforms the mundane and heartache, into a purpose filled life with God.

“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” – John 14:12
Jesus pioneered a new way to live on planet earth, a life we can all welcome in greater measure. This kingdom life includes radical forgiveness, powerful healing, abundant new life and purpose filled sufferings.

We would encourage you to read the Gospel of John over March to excite you for all that’s now yours through Christ Jesus. This series will lead us up to Easter, and what greater way to celebrate than to arrive at that point as a Church community, giving thanks for His wonderful life, and stepping further into ours.
A book which fits so well with this series is Wendy Mann’s ‘Naturally supernatural’. Additionally Wendy will be with us on March 8th.
Father we long to be those who experience more of the wonder you intended each day. Lead us towards a fuller and truer understanding of your kingdom in our lives.

Amen
