Money matters

At JCC we want to be a church that focuses on Jesus not on money. However, we also know from the New Testament that Jesus talked about money more than any other subject. He knew that money, though neutral, had the power to do great good or great harm. For Jesus, how we spend our money is a key sign of where we place our value – “Where your money is, there your heart is also”.

We believe that giving our money is a key part of our worship and we believe that God wants us to express his heart of generosity through being generous with the money that is given to JCC as a local church.

Giving

“A MISSIONAL CHURCH IS A GENEROUS CHURCH” How people give at Jubilee Community Church…

Over 75% of JCC members give by monthly standing order. This is a great way to give as it allows our finance team to steward our money well and it helps the eldership team to budget with some detail.

If you would like to give in this way, please use the following bank details and reference your standing order in your name followed by the words – Church Giving.

Bank: Lloyds Bank, Sort Code: 30-97-90, Account: 32340560

Weekly giving

We still take up a weekly offering as part of our Sunday morning worship. This allows people to give week on week, allows those of us with standing orders to add to our giving when we are prompted and reminds us that we are giving as part of our worship of God and our thanks to God for all His provision.

One-off giving

For one-off gifts it is possible to give a donation online by clicking on the ‘Donate Now’ button at the top of the page.

Gift Aid

As a charity we are able to claim 25% back from the government on all giving from UK tax payers. Gift Aid releases about £70,000 a year into the JCC budget!! You can obtain a Gift Aid form from the church office – office@jcceg.co.uk.

Who handles the money?

Stuart Maclean

Finance Director

We have a fantastic finance team led by Stuart Maclean. They manage our money and report back to the eldership team on a monthly basis. Other than Stuart, no one on the eldership team or staff knows who gives what at JCC.
