Update from the last Gift Day

  1. Spurgeons (formerly Fegans)- Since giving in May, we have run a parenting course for families at Jubilee, and have enabled a new Parent Support Worker to be based in East Grinstead – a big welcome Emma. Spurgeons also continue to offer:
  • Counselling for children
  • Parent & career courses
  • Family support groups/1-2-1’s for parents
  1. Sound/Visuals – The project to install new equipment and cabling has now been completed, ironing out many of the online issues we faced week on week. This now means we are ready to offer something new (evangelistically) to the community this Christmas – watch this space!

Where are we giving into this October?

Our gift days are designed to flow into the mission of Jubilee Community Church. This time we have highlighted 4 key areas:

  1. Albania car 4K – Andy and Esme (members at JCC) have worked with churches in Albania with New Frontiers for many years. They have links to a church led by Elvis and Sokol who both work for prison ministry in Albania. Every week they conduct meetings in prisons, meet with prisoners and visit their families whilst delivering food parcels and other essentials. They are currently in need of a car in order to do this, and we would love to support this church in that mission.
  2. Jubilee Communities 5K – We plan to put aside some funds for the set up and launch of these communities that we started talking about on Vision Sunday. To find out more follow this link or go to www.jcceg.co.uk/sermons/vision-sunday-2023
  3. Newday 8K – Newday is full of adventure and training for our secondary age school children (our future evangelist, worship leaders, kids workers and pastors). In February we plan to book tickets for 2024 at the discount rate.
  4. Relief Fund 10-12K – Libya relief fund through Christian Aid. Click here to find out more.

We see all of this as Jubilee mission. Whether reaching this town through the formation of Jubilee Communities or a enabling Sokol to minister in a prison in Albania with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I hope you will join us this autumn as we give together. If you give online remember to use the ref: giftday
