Day 21 of 40 days of devotion

This time focusing on devotion has really opened my eyes to how devoted God is to us. I love that he has seen our hearts as individuals, families, friends and community groups and has moved to meet us as we simply explore new areas of devotion.
Amongst a few things, I have been reading the verse of the day (most days) with Natalie and praying it in. We have also been attempting to memorise the scriptures after being encouraged by Joan Gaddas.
While a handful of random verses may seem fairly insignificant, these newly memorised versus have become so powerful, encouraging and strengthening in my prayer life.
In the last few days I have been able to speak the word of God into situations in my life and find renewed hope in the promises of God. I genuinely feel that God has widened my understanding of the power contained in the word and has drawn me into a deeper sense of friendship.
