The Jubilee Community Centre is a 44,000 square feet building in East Grinstead, bought and refurbished by the generosity of church members, which not only meets the needs of all church activities but also provides a modern and flexible resource for the local and business communities.
Freedom in Christ
It is for freedom that Christ has set you free.
Are you living in freedom?
Key texts:
Mark 9:14-29; Luke 4:18-19; Matthew 28:18-20: Ephesians 1:15-22; Eph 6:10-18; Romans 12:1-2; 2 Cor 10:3-5; Gal 5:1
You have an enemy, the devil, who wants to keep you in bondage:-
i) Through sin
ii) Through Strongholds (e.g. Mammon, unforgiveness, fear and anxiety, addictions)
iii) Through direct demonic activity
However, realise that the Power of sin and Satan over you are broken.
Jesus has won the victory. Jesus has completely purchased your (our) freedom. You need to take possession of all that is yours. How?
A. Know the Truth
i) Know what Christ has done for you and who you are in Him
ii) Know the authority you have in Christ
iii) Know you are in Spiritual warfare
B. Act on or live out the Truth
i) Submit to God (obey the word, grow in intimacy, be full of the Spirit),
ii) Resist the devil (armour, use the Word, stand firm on the promises, pray, prevailing faith, take your thoughts captive, renew your mind)
iii) The devil will flee
For meditation and discussion and action:
1. Read aloud contemplatively each of the key texts 2-3 times.
2. Why do we often fail to enjoy the full benefits of our freedom even when we, so to say, know the biblical truths?
3. Physically, would you let an intruder or an unwelcome guest take up residence in your house just because they wanted to or insisted? Spiritually then???
4. Jesus Christ is Lord. Think about this!
