God calls people to himself because of his love and compassion and has made it clear to us in the scriptures that he so loved the world (humanity) that he gave his only begotten son and whosoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

There are different ways of preaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and harvesting souls for the kingdom of God and these are not mutually exclusive. They fit perfectly together and may not be adequate in themselves because the harvest is plentiful. We know the Alpha course has been and continues to be a very effective method in the UK.

We believe that healing on the streets is one of the ways God is using to call people to himself. For some it may truly be the one time or, as a matter of fact, the only time that they begin to have a sense of realisation that God is alive, loves them and that He is powerful and ought to be worshipped.

Taking the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the streets of our communities puts us in a unique position to offer the love of God to the lost, present another opportunity to the contemplating , show the compassion and the power of God to the needy and harvest souls that are ready to come into the kingdom of God!

Healing on the streets gives people who may not consider coming into a ‘Church’ an opportunity to encounter the love, compassion and father heart of God.

Only Heaven can tell the extent of what we achieve when we go out on the streets with the love of Jesus. Also, this adventure is well worth it for the joy that it brings!

Jesus loved to be on the streets, Mark 6 :56 ;he made disciples, healed the sick etc.
Today He sends wisdom in to the streets. We live in the time of abundance of the mercies and grace of God and we cannot contain these in house and must overflow to the streets where the people are.

It is heartbreaking that some people don’t even know that we, the Church, exist in East Grinstead. Heartbreaking because a city set on a hill cannot be hidden yet we are unknown. Who lights a lamp and puts it under a bushel? Why should I, who is going to heaven and in the meantime quite enjoying my life, rub shoulders with other people on the streets and yet they have no clue that they could make a choice to have peace and joy now and go to heaven when they die?

It is a win win situation when we go out on the street and we are just so thankful that in this country we have the freedom to do this! May God help me to seize every opportunity.

This year we’ll hit the streets of East Grinstead on the May bank Holiday, Monday the 7th and continue every week on Saturdays for several weeks. if you’re looking for an adventure in God this summer, I’d highly recommend this for you.

Do it afraid, do it scared, do it in the power of the Holy Spirit, unlock your brevity in God because there is room for you to do so.

You would need to attend training on the 25th of April and the 2nd of May. Training is relevant and important and this not because you couldn’t do it on your own but just so we are singing from the same hymn sheet appropriately.
