The world of the generous gets larger and larger; the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller. – Proverbs 11:24
Dear Church,
I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the past five years of gift days, I was overwhelmed by the faithfulness and kindness shown through your giving.
Since May 2020, we have held 10 gift days, giving an astounding £317,291! This generosity has enabled us to extend God’s love both locally and globally – bringing hope to communities in Zambia, Uganda, Ukraine, and Albania. Your giving has provided vital resources such as:
- A car for prison ministry
- Food parcels during COVID
- Technology for online ministry
- A family support worker
And so much more. Praise God for His provision and for your generosity!
An Update from Our Last Gift Day
Historically, JCC has given £25,000 on average during our October gift days. Last October, we set an ambitious target of £53,000 to respond to a crisis in Zambia. Severe drought was causing famine among our church partners, and we felt called to act.
Through your incredible generosity, we were able to meet this urgent need. Not only did we provide immediate relief, but your giving also contributed to seeds being sown for this years harvest.
Where Are We Giving This May?
Our gift days are designed to fuel the mission of Jubilee Community Church, and this May we are focusing on three practical and local areas of need:
1.Safeguarding Lead
Over the past decade, safeguarding concerns at JCC have grown significantly. What was once 2-4 cases a year has increased to nearly 40 cases last year. While we have a dedicated volunteer team and strong processes, the scale of the work now requires additional investment.
Our goal is to raise funds to employ a Safeguarding Lead for 7 hours a week, ensuring we continue to protect and care for the most vulnerable in our community.
2. Communities and other church activities
To continue to progress into the 2030 vision we need to release finance and resource. I am so thrilled to have our first ad hoc service in a community this May 18th. May God lead and increase all He is doing in East Grinstead and the surrounding villages.
3. The Fire Escape
Maintaining our church building is essential to providing a safe space for ministry. One pressing need is the rear fire escape, which requires major repairs to remain operational. Your giving will help us meet these essential safety requirements.
I invite you to prayerfully consider how you might participate in this upcoming gift day. Along with these 3 priorities we also give a gift to New Ground our family of churches. Together, we can continue to see lives transformed and communities impacted by the love of Christ.

Thank you for being a church that reflects the heart of our generous God.
