21 – 29 March ’22

There remains a strong desire in Newfrontiers to reach the nations with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Church planting and multicultural relationships have been in our DNA from the beginning. Andy and Esme, two members at JCC, have built relationships with new and established Churches In Albania who are a part of Newfrontiers, or currently looking to join.

Their aims on this recent trip was 1) to attend the annual Church leaders conference, a great opportunity to build friendships, share meals and discuss the life of the Church. 2) to offer biblical teaching and support to individual Churches. This takes the form of Sunday teaching, clarifying leadership and offering guidance to Churches in need of help and support.

Here is a short blog sharing a bit more from this recent trip.

Andy – We flew from Heathrow to Tirana with BA. Booked a taxi from the airport, arrived at the hotel early evening.

Tuesday morning Megi came to the hotel to meet us, then took us for good walk around the city in the warm sunshine. We talked and walked a long way!

Wednesday we had to ourselves, and in the evening met with Nesti and Glenda. We have known Nesti for many years, since he was a teenager. He is as zealous as ever and now has a lovely wife and two small children. He is wanting to start a business so I was helping him to complete the paperwork to apply for a loan from Seed Fund.

Thursday we travelled to Durres for the start of the conference. The theme of the conference was ‘An Apostolic Vision for the Church’. A time of excellent teaching, worship, catching up with friends and making some new ones.

The conference ended on Saturday, we then travelled to Lushnje with Sokol and Anita who lead the church there. I spoke at their meeting which they have on a Saturday afternoon.

On Sunday we travelled to Grabjan for the church meeting there. I spoke again. At the end EVERYONE came forward for prayer!

Monday was an extra day due to the cancelled flight, so we joined the prison fellowship guys distributing food packages to the families of prisoners.

A really good time, and we have come home with several pictures of people we are praying for.
