In Hebrews we are told to gather together to encourage one another and stir up each other with love and good works. Jesus ate with his disciples and shared fellowship with each other.
So on the first Thursday of every month the men of Jubilee Community Church and their friends gather to enjoy great food and fellowship. The food could be anything a scrumptious curry or maybe a sensational lasagne and anything in between. All cooked by our fantastic lads!
For the 6th of March edition of ManFood we were treated to a great lasagne and bolognaise that was polished up very quickly with great enjoyment and laughter. We enjoyed the company of some fantastic men and all shared stories and jokes (particularly Rob who should not become a comedian!) We were then treated to a talk by a man named Ian Wilkins who helps head up the Crawley Open House, he is a man that through personal hardship God has taught him about how delicate we can be and this has really given him a heart to help the homeless and people struggling with addiction.
Before that we had a homemade curry and a talk from a man who cycled all the way from China back to England! So come along to ManFood on the first Thursday of every month to have a great time with a group of quality guys, some fantastic food and a talk with someone truly inspirational!
