Jubilee Community Church has been the official name of our family for over a month now and what an exciting and full month it has been. Friday the 24th of January saw a host of building hirers, local business figures and dignitaries join with us to celebrate our name change and the building’s fifth birthday.
Amongst the myriads of friends who came to celebrate this momentous milestone, we had the pleasure of welcoming both the Town Mayor and Nicholas Soames MP to join us at a JCC for a champagne reception. This lunch was the perfect opportunity to express our vision and values to those who use the facilities on weekly basis and also to bridge the gap between the centre and the passionate church that is passionately behind it.
Nicholas Soames concluded the reception by commending us as a church in our success in serving the local community and went on to say that it is truly extraordinary the number of lives that have been impacted by the work of the church through the community centre.
What an incredible statement. Our name may have now changed but this calling to positively impact our community still remains with only new energy. We are Jubilee Community Church both in name and in character.
