Work matters! For most people it fills a substantial part of their lives. Love it or hate it, most of us have to do it. As Steve Jobs (Co-founder Apple) is famously quoted as saying, “Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.”
At Jubilee, there are many people who have found what they love to do, and have created their own businesses to work this out. But working for yourself brings many challenges and the need for support and encouragement from others. We are built for community! That’s why the Jireh Network was formed. Ali Morphew was inspired to create the group, not just another business or networking group, but to give and receive support through networking, teaching and prayer.
So if you’re a Christian freelancer, sole trader or small business owner, the Jireh Network is for you!
Meeting once a month on a Thursday evening, it’s a great opportunity to share stories, experiences, tips & tricks, and to pray. Occasionally guest speakers come to bring their wisdom, teaching and encouragement.
Is it ok to pray for success in your business? In the words of the well-known children’s character Lola (Charlie & Lola), absolutely, completely and extremely YES! Prayer is vital to all that we do. In the Jireh Network so far, through committing various needs to God we have seen incredible answers to prayer:

And we are expecting more! As we commit our ways to the Lord, we know that we can trust him. After all, he is and always will be, our Jehovah Jireh, our provider.
